Job Description:
Dominion Management manages over 850 homes in The Greater Baltimore Area. We are looking for a vibrant candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our team as an Assistant Property Manager.
Applicants must be excellent communicators, highly organized, able to effectively prioritize and multi-task, and have superior customer service skills. Affordable housing experience is required. This position will report directly to our Property Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with our Marketing Department to ensure that our online property listings and marketing materials are inviting and up to date.
  • Send active listing to all internal and external leasing agents.
  • Ensure all new current and new properties have current rental licenses and Lead Certificates (if applicable).
  • Recommend resident retention efforts in order to reduce vacancy.
  • Prepare and present all leasing and vacancy reporting.
  • Identify and review all rental applications to ensure completion and housing program related paperwork, if applicable.
  • Perform affordable certification interviews, if applicable.
  • Screen applicants for credit, criminal background, and landlord verifications to determine eligibility.
  • Perform affordable certification interviews for leasing prospects, if applicable.
  • Accurately draft lease documents and ensure they are signed by all appropriate parties.
  • Ensure that all Move in documents are completed and placed in tenant file(s).
  • Negotiate rental rate based on leased comparable units and pertinent information available.
  • Perform lease orientations with new residents.
  • Coordinate and schedule initial program inspections, rent determinations, lease signings, and move in dates.
  • Connect with various Housing Agencies to establish effective relationships.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience with various affordable housing programs including Housing Choice Section 8 Vouchers and Tax Credit Housing
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing
  • Proficiency with AppFolio is a plus
  • Must have own reliable transportation
  • Intermediate-advanced with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Superior communication and relationship building skills
