Job Description:
Dominion Management (DM) manages over 850 homes in The Greater Baltimore Area. We are looking for a vibrant candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our team as a Assistant Maintenance Manager.
Applicants must be excellent communicators, highly organized, able to effectively prioritize and multi-task, and have superior customer service skills. Affordable housing experience is required. This position will report directly to our Maintenance Manager.

In This Role You Will:
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written format with Tenants, Maintenance Technicians, Management, Vendors, and Subcontractors
- Assist our Maintenance Manager with various administrative tasks
- Assist with organizing and planning the daily activities of the maintenance staff
- Review and escalate inbound service tickets received from our call center and/or tenants directly
- Determine the scope of work required for individual work orders in AppFolio- must be knowledgeable in all basics of plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning, appliance troubleshooting and repair, carpentry, drywall patching and repair, and other general
- Manage and dispatch a high-volume of work orders daily to Maintenance Technicians and Subcontractors
- Ensure contractor work is completed in a timely manner and is of acceptable quality
- Track tickets from intake to completion in AppFolio
- Participate in weekly staff meetings
- Calendar management for Maintenance Department
- Relay time sensitive information to members of the maintenance team while they are in the field
- Provide excellent customer service to our residents
You must possess the following:
- Administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in property management
- Experience fielding and distributing maintenance work orders
- Experience working with AppFolio or other property management software
- Intermediate-advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Must be able to professionally communicate over the phone
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Skilled in time management and able to prioritize tasks
- Proficiency tracking both short and long-term projects through to completion
- Ability to apply problem solving skills to resolve typical operational issues
- Superior communication and relationship building skills
- Must be self-motivated and dependable
